Minecraft has been growing at an experiential rate and now every minute at least 13 people purchase minecraft.
22,000,000 people have bought the game and that is not including the other platforms, demos / pirated accounts.
If you are one of those rare people who haven’t played it yet then here are a few reasons why you should download minecraft.
Let’s jump into the list:
1. You buy Minecraft for Life
Although this is a bit of a Cliché remark it is true.
Most games ware out in about a few months but not minecraft, there is always something new to do, or a creative idea to make with minecraft.
Due to its unique graphics and coding style, minecraft will never be left behind in the race for better graphics and great AI.
One day you might find yourself wondering back to this childhood game you once knew and have a whole new experience.
2. You make the game
Minecraft does not have a set story, or a real ending at least.
It is up to you how you live your life, who you kill and what you build. You are in charge!
As the PC version of minecraft is ever expanding there really is never an end to the world you can explore and you can build upon anything you like.
Some people have spent months building there dream homes and in the end you feel a great achievement once it is complete. I mean just take a look at some of these:

3.The community is great
Minecraft was crafted upon its community forums and as a consequence it is now the rock & foundations of minecraft.
On the community forums you can find just about anything. From a new mod to a latest update it is there!
One of the greatest things is people are always adding new content to it, so whenever you want to spice your game up a bit you won’t be short on any adventure maps.
4. Updates every week
Minecraft does a weekly thing where they release a new update then release an overall update when ready.
This is a great way to get ahead of the game and experience something new.
To get snapshots, open your launcher and press the “New Profile” button. Call it “snapshots” and check the box saying “Enable experimental development snapshots” and save. To switch to the normal version, you can select it in the drop down at the bottom left corner of the launcher.
5. Learn something new / set yourself a challenge
Every time I play minecraft I find myself learning something new each time especially with Redstone.
Redstone is a great way to link up your computer knowledge with minecraft. Not only can it be super complex and challenging it can also be very fun.
The fun packed game also comes with a range of achievements that can only be gained by completion of special challenges such as going to the nether or making a cake…
6. Multiplayer like never before
Minecraft uses servers and their new Minecraft realm allows you to connect with your friends.
However it is fully run by independent server owners so it is up to their digression how they run it.
Due to the sheer creativity of Minecraft’s players this has lead to a host of different types of servers, introducing minigames such as;
- The Hunger Games
- TNT run
- Hide & Seek
There are also a ton of role playing servers too which are really addictive with a great fan base.
7. Supports Mods and custom maps
Possibly one of the best things about minecraft is you can always enhance your experience through the use of openly allowed mods which can be found on the mc forum.
Sometimes these could make very small changes to your game but give you that one thing you and others have always wanted.
Sometimes these mods can make a performance enhancing difference to your experience for example: the optifine mod allows you to add shaders to your game and increase your overall fps of the game.
The really big mods like tekkit make you feel as if you have a whole new game and really goes the extra mile for that new experience.
