Some of you readers may never of heard of this beautiful new game open to the public April Fools day 2014
What even is this?
Throughout Goat simulator you take on the endeavors of a goat and explore the open world with a whole range of omnipresent, possibilities. But. And this is a big but. All is not as it seems:
As simply described by the developers; Coffee Stain Studios, “Goat Simulator is a small, broken and stupid game. It was made in a couple of weeks, so don’t expect a game in the size and scope of GTA with goats. In fact, you’re better off not expecting anything at all actually. To be completely honest, it would be best if you’d spend your $10 on a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe a real-life goat.” – Although this demoralising description of the game is both funny and extremely sarcastic it is actually very accurate! What was originally meant to be a parody of a game that could be, it has now been turned into a reality for gamers that they can just not live without – A game that simply does not care about bugs, making money or even gameplay, to put it straight the game is what you make it with a crazy glitchy goat.
You have goat to be kidding me…
What really draws users into the game is the deceiving lack of care from the developers, the absolute need for fixes in aid of extremely funny bugs and glitches make the game playable. In a weird way, because the game was built to be broken, it makes for an amazingly enjoyable game to play.
Itching to play some Goat Simulator madness
Well, don’t worry! The official release has been fully confirmed for April 1st, 2014 and if you really can’t wait, (like me) you can preorder today to gain an additional 3 early access days to play, record and literally does whatever you like with the game.
Once many players have got to grips with the buggy mechanics and major physics, we will also be sure to see some frustrating workshop builds that will truly add a more memorable time to the already “fun looking time” we are set to have. Being one of the largest factors in the long term success, it will be very important for the survival of the goat, and will add another layer to the game – Nevertheless, no matter how the future of Goat Simulator turns out to be, we are confident that will will get an exception, a few hours of laughter and some great content from youtubers alike.
Only time and slight insanity will tell if this brilliant idea of a game will truly become popular.
